What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Engineering Technician position at HL Mando America Corp?
Job Summary: To provide expert level knowledge and performance for all aspects of the Casting Plant Production Engineering in order to ensure all products are produced to HL Mando/Customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- DiSA 231b Molding Machine Operation Management and Preventive Maintenance.
- Eirich mixer operation and maintenance management
- Management of molten metal pouring status and review of improvement measures
- Sand Specification Management and Analysis.
- Analysis of defective products and review of improvement measures
- Improve OEE and manage defect rates
- Mold modifications to improve productivity and reduce defect rates
- Mold wear management and mold maintenance
- When machine breakdown occurs, analyze the cause and improve it.
- In case of defective products, analyze the cause and review improvement measures
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent is a requirement.
- 5 years of Production experience in a foundry is preferred.
- 5 years of mold manage experience in a foundry is preferred.
Technical Competencies:
- Operational knowledge of Molding Machine and Sand Preparation Machine required.
- Mold management knowledge and mold modification skills required
- Some understanding of metallurgy, casting processes.
- Ability to use computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility:
- No direct supervisory responsibility.
Position Work Schedule:
- Normal working hours for this position are Monday thru Friday from 7:00am until 5:00pm. Customer demands can cause adjustments to normal working hours. Candidate must be able to be flexible with working times.
- This position is not eligible for remote/hybrid work.
Working Conditions:
- This position typically operates on the factory floor.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds properly.
Remote Work: Not Eligible for Hybrid Remote Work Schedule
