Restoration Technician

The purpose of this job description is to establish and define the authority, reporting, roles, and responsibilities of a Restoration Technician.

Reporting:

A Restoration Technician reports to the Mitigation Manager. A Restoration Technician works with both Water Mitigation and Reconstruction and will report daily to either the Mitigation Manager, and/or Superintendent. This will be dependent on the job and the need.

Job Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, a Restoration Technician should have basic working knowledge of Construction and/or Water Mitigation.

• Comply with all safety policies
• Cross over between Water Mitigation and Reconstruction
• Learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation
• Basic Mitigation Paperwork
• Read Meter
• Understand, Set, and Clean Equipment
• Perform tasks given by the Mitigation PM, Superintendent, and/or Lead Tech
• Assist Carpenters with construction tasks
• Run the job while the Lead Tech is on other jobs and/or away
• Payroll App Coded Daily

Standards:

A Restoration Technician is responsible for achieving company standards on each job. They must maintain and accept responsibility for company tools and company equipment while on the job. They must also follow, adhere to, and enforce all company safety polices, keep vehicles/trailers in good condition, and track any job expenses on company credit card. They will need to study, know, and understand specifications for the projects assigned to and perform mitigation services as outlined within the IICRC S-500.
