Role: Sr. DataStage Consultant
Location: Chicago , IL or Richardson TX Hybrid
Duration: contract
Job Purpose:
This position is Sr. DataStage Consultant with strong knowledge to be able to support analysis and development needs in an environment of DataStage, DB2, Control-M applications.
This position is responsible for business and functional requirement analysis, systems analysis and developing technical solutions aligning to application architecture recommendations; Acting as subject matter expert (SME) post go-live period.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree and 5 years Information Technology experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 7-year Information Technology experience OR 9 years Information Technology experience.
- Experience in application and/or product feature design.
- Experience in application configuration
- Experience in integration technologies (IBM infosphere DataStage and Quality Stage, IBM IIDR)
- Experience in Unix Shell scripting.
- Experience in SQL, DB2 (LUW & Zos) and Teradata.
- Experience in JSON, XML.
- Experience in Scheduling tools (Control M, Zena).
- Experience in DevOps and/or continuous deployment and/or integration process and tools (Urban code, Jenkins, Git, Jira, Service Now etc).
- Experience in iterative and/or agile and/or scrum development.
- Application domain knowledge.
- Prototyping.
- Problem solving / analytical thinking.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Product-specific application architecture.
- Ability to tie together solutions across systems.
