What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager (Construction) position at HLH Design Build, Inc.?
Ideal candidates will have experience scheduling, planning, supervising, and coordinating construction projects; ensuring the quality of work and materials meet industry standards and contract documents, and that each project is completed within required time frame and budget. Must have proven experience scheduling and supervising and on the standard requirements of the site in terms of safety and required permitting/licensing. Must be able to multi-task, be a good problem-solver, have a good understanding of the ever-changing industry environment, be able to communicate with Owners/Architects/Subcontractors/Team Members; and be computer literate. Serve as a company representative and point of contact with the public, architects, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years prior experience as an Assistant Project Manager or 1-2 years prior experience as a Project Manager for a commercial general contractor.
- Well-rounded diverse candidates with a variety of ground up commercial construction and renovation construction projects
- Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management / Construction Science / Construction Engineering, but not required.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Suite, Scheduling, Email, Project Management Software, BuilderTrend or equivalent.
- Three references on past projects from Project Owners and/or Architects must be provided.
- A project list outlining prior projects, including the dollar amount for each, must be provided.
Responsibilities:
1. Estimate jobs.
2. Establish schedule with Superintendent, updating as needed.
3. Negotiate contracts and change orders.
4. Write purchase orders.
5. Communicate job progress with the Client.
6. Supervision.
7. Verify work is being constructed as planned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
