You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to:
· Assist the Regional Production Manager to assure that the quantity and quality of seed are maintained and produced so as to meet the Business Unit’s requirements, in a timely and efficient manner.
· Develop and maintain working relationship with area seed producers.
· Contract seed crops with area growers to meet company release quantity and quality.
· Assist the grower with crop management, protection and quality issues.
· Assist and support field production functions, genetic maintenance, shipping and receiving.
· Develop reports, maintain a field book; communicate with colleagues, Producers, PCAs, and State Ag Inspectors.
Skills required:
· Vegetable seed production knowledge needed.
· Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
· Highly self-motivated individual, with a high level of time management and organizational skills.
· Ability and willingness to work outdoors even in adverse weather conditions.
· Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
To be considered, you will need:
· BS Agriculture related degree, or minimum of 5 years experience in vegetable seed production.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
· English language fluency required; Spanish language fluency a plus.
