Job Summary :
We are seeking a Director of Retail Sales who will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and managing relationships with our key retail partners, primarily Sephora and Ulta, while also fostering new relationships to further drive the business. This role encompasses both sell-in and sell-through responsibilities, ensuring optimal product placement and performance across retail channels.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and nurture relationships with Sephora and Ulta in the USA and Canada, with an additional focus on Sephora International markets (MEX, EU, Canada, etc.)
Strategically drive sell-in initiatives to meet order levels and maximize product placement opportunities within retail stores.
Oversee sell-through activities to optimize product performance and ensure inventory levels align with sales forecasts.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop sales strategies that align with brand objectives and retailer expectations.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation within retail channels.
Requirements :
Proven experience in retail sales management within the skincare or beauty industry, specifically with growth-stage brands sold at Sephora.
Strong track record of successfully managing relationships with Sephora and ideally Ulta, demonstrating deep understanding of their operational dynamics.
Experience with Sephora International markets, and / or other international retailers, is highly preferred.
Ability to effectively manage both sell-in and sell-through aspects of retail sales, a rare combination in the industry.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
