Key Responsibilities:
- Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack orders based on customer requirements. Ensure that all items are appropriately labeled and packaged for shipping.
- Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, verify the accuracy of the delivery against packing lists, and inspect goods for damage or defects. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and participation in periodic physical inventory checks.
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring that products are handled with care to prevent damage. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet our company's standards. Report any quality issues to the supervisor.
- Organization and Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean and well-organized, adhering to safety standards. Properly dispose of packaging materials and maintain a clutter-free work area.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of all activities, including shipments received, orders picked, and inventory levels.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse operations and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
