Financial Analyst, Employee Benefits

Job Description:

We are looking to add a Financial Analyst to join our Employee Benefits team in Waukee, IA. Offering a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture, along with the opportunity to share your unique potential, there really is no place like Holmes!

Essential Responsibilities:

• Runs client monthly financial reporting (MFSR)
• Works under senior team member's guidance to assist with client budget modeling as needed
• Provides tactical analysis based upon clinical and financial data
• Provides basic IBNR support
• Attends client meetings as needed
• Understands how market conditions impact client health and welfare plans from a cost and clinical perspective
• Understands how employee benefit related compliance regulations pertain to client financial and budget needs
• Understands plan designs, funding arrangements, benefit adjustments, stop-loss insurance, out of network savings arrangements
• Performs special projects and other duties as requested

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Experience: 0-2 years applicable experience, preferably in the insurance industry [at a brokerage or provider organization].
• Skills & Technical Competencies: Key skills for effective client consulting include a solid grasp of insurance principles to meet strategic needs, strong client management to prioritize and deliver impactful solutions, and sharp analytical abilities to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
