Job Description:

We are looking to add a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in the Waukee, IA office. Offering a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture, along with the opportunity to share your unique potential, there really is no place like Holmes!

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain complex financial modeling and analysis including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
  • Create, maintain, and monitor financial metrics around revenue, sales operations, and business performance 
  • Review and analyze complex financial data to identify trends and insights as well as ensure compliance with internal and external metrics
  • Perform standard financial analysis including budget-to-actual comparisons and financial forecasting using prescribed systems and workflows
  • Lead the annual budget planning, aggregation, and consolidation process for assigned areas.
  • Coordinate and liaison with internal leaders regarding budgeting, forecasting and spend management including personnel and headcount planning
  • Perform audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Timely resolve finance and accounting related issues and questions for assigned areas.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education & Licensing: Bachelor’s degree required; Preferably in Finance, or Accounting. CPA or CFA designation a plus.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of finance experience, preferably in the insurance industry. Experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning preferred.
  • Technical Competencies: The ideal candidate will possess robust financial knowledge and principles, applying these to deliver accurate and high-quality work. They should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, capable of identifying opportunities or root causes and developing effective solutions. Additionally, the candidate should have a thorough understanding of workflows and systems, actively contributing to processes and ensuring compliance while delivering exceptional client experiences.
