Key Responsibilities
- Support the survey division manager with office tasks such as processing field collected data, coordinating with field crews, generating stake out plans, coordinating utility locate requests, preparation of survey deliverables including terrain models, plats, legal descriptions.
- Exposure to drone and scanning technologies.
- Assist with office tasks including, but not limited to CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research, and filing
- Maintain survey equipment and initiate repairs when necessary.
- Remain current on surveying practices, guidelines, and best management practices; attend internal/external training to expand knowledge and skills.
- Recommend new approaches and ideas that continuously improve efficiency and services performed. Occasional field crew assistance that may require local travel.
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 2 years of related experience or education
- Experience with survey instrumentation, data collectors, and field survey procedures.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, Inroads/ORD, similar.
- Willingness to work in the field occasionally with possible overnight travel.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
