The Director, Physician Systems & Reporting, reporting directly to the VP Finance for Physician Services of the corporate finance team, is responsible for specialized reporting and data integration/analytics required by the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) Physician Division to improve financial data and processes for the unique needs of the Physician Services Division, Regional, Campus and CTS reporting needs. Using advanced financial systems proficiency and tools, leads and/or assists in integration and conversion projects for building, reporting and technical design needed to move reporting off of disparate systems and connecting them all through Oracle BI for maximizing efficiency and automation. Responsible for monitoring of assigned statistical indicators & reports. Provides operational financial leadership to support to the Network by developing and implementing plans for improved accuracy and timeliness of revenue and other operational reporting to support the strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 10 years of management experience in accounting, finance, revenue cycle, or directly related activities in the healthcare industry.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience/concentration with large medical group(s) including revenue cycle and advanced reporting and data administration experience.
- A unique skill set with the ability to understand thorough knowledge of EPIC physician billing system; CPT codes and related modifiers; charging/billing/cash posting and managed care contracting as well as an understanding of general accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in using technology including but not limited to Excel, Epic or other Part B Billing Systems, Axiom Budgeting Systems, Report writing, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, team and organizational skills. Must be able to establish effective working relationships with Senior Management and Staff at all levels of the organization.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- MBA and/or CPA.
