The Regional Cardiovascular Care Transformation (CV CTS) Director has direct accountability for delivery of clinical cardiovascular services at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) the tertiary hub and Community Hospital: Palisades Medical Center. The CV CTS Regional Director provides oversight and coordination of Cardiovascular and business priorities within the Northern region in collaboration with the local administrations. Hackensack University Medical Center oversees the Heart and Vascular services and has on-site cardiac surgical services, which includes the programs of Structural Heart (TAVR and Mitraclip), Advanced Heart Failure (VAD Destination Therapy) as well as the full scope of both Cardiac and Peripheral Diagnostic, and Interventional services in addition to Electrophysiology. Dual reporting to the HUMC President and Chief Hospital Executive (CHE) and Vice President Cardiovascular CTS (CTS VP), this position supports the administration, day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and program development of inpatient and outpatient Cardiovascular (CV) services across the assigned region. Provides direct oversight for the CV CTS - specific programs and /or departments, as determined by the CTS VP and CHE, through the establishment and monitoring of operating budgets, and overall CV campus operations in collaboration with the CV site manager(s) responsible and local administrative leadership. In partnership with the Director of Network Operations and CTS Medical Leadership, assists in facilitation and organization of performance improvement initiatives and accreditation(s)/certifications in collaboration with the Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Clinicians. Utilizes national benchmark, local and industry information to assist in the identification of opportunities. This position supports the CTS VP, for the development and implementation of CTS strategic plans along with associated strategic goals, initiatives, market share, growth opportunities, budget monitoring, and other quality and key indicators of performance.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree in health related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations and service line management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive budget experience.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, internally and externally.
- Exceptional communication skills and experience with engaging and building relationships with network leadership.
- Understanding of the business implications of moving from volume to value-based payment for care.
- Knowledge of health care and business metrics, benchmarks, economic engines and standards that drive and/or shape the industry.
- Ability to establish and measure various metrics to assess success of the service line.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative, workable strategies and tactics to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Strong leadership presence, relationship building skills and ability to influence, lead and direct individuals in multiple functional areas and across all levels of employees, management and community leaders.
- Knowledge of care transformation principles.
- Demonstrated analytical ability to identify problems, develop solutions and execute in collaboration with other leaders or constituents.
- Ability to develop a high performing team and steering committee, articulate vision, create trust, drive the HMH culture and build consensus.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Degree in Nursing (BSN/MSN/DNP)
- Master's degree in business/operations or related field (MBA/MHA) or a commitment to complete within 3 years.
- Multi-site/systems experience preferred.
- Encompass reimbursement methodology and strategies as well as evaluation of business plans and execution.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
