The Director, Regional Facilities & Maintenance - Central leads the Network Facilities strategy for assigned Region, leading the teams and ensuring local needs are consistently met for plant operations, maintenance, and property management. The position is responsible for the development of the site facilities and maintenance teams within the region into a cohesive, professional, customer-oriented function that strives for continual improvement to enable an integrated, coordinated, and effective approach to the management of the physical assets in alignment with network objectives. This role reports to the VP, Network Facilities and partners with senior leadership throughout the region to ensure consistency, operational strength and flexibility. Ensures a safe physical environment within assigned region and provides regional leadership and oversight of the Facilities Maintenance/Engineering teams in accordance with Federal, State, and JCAHO standards and in accordance with Network policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 or more years of experience in healthcare/facility maintenance or healthcare operations in a progressively responsible leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead teams across multiple locations and manage multiple projects.
- Working Knowledge of codes and policies, (TJC, FGI, and NFPA), for hospital and ambulatory care areas.
- In depth knowledge of OSHA and JCAHO regulations.
- Excellent technical, management, organizational, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- A track record of success establishing a vision for facilities-management services that advances mission, maximizes efficiency and return on investment, and demonstrates effective stewardship of assets.
- Demonstrated success advising senior leadership and trustees on strategic investments in physical-plant assets and in the resources necessary to optimize them in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated competency in assessing, analyzing and utilizing data for purpose of obtaining information necessary for effective decision making and performance improvement processes.
- Prior experience with union contract negotiations.
- Prior project management experience.

- Master's degree.
