What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner Cardiovascular Admin per diem position at HMH HOSPITALS CORPORATION?
Per Diem Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner performs the role utilizing the patient-centered coordinated care model demonstrated through the following competencies: leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision making. Works collaboratively with other members of the practice/hospital team to assess, plan and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. This nurse practitoner role is in an administrative setting and does not involve procedures or assisting in procedures. Duties include: Managing the database and registry with the database people, Reviewing quality metrics and fulfillment of accreditation standards, data report involvement, managing the care of interventional patients (pre and post) to ensure that guidelines are followed and standards of care are met (no direct patient care)
Past cardiovascular NP experience required.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing
- Masters Degree
- Maintains clinical competencies through participating in continuing educational programs (contact hours per years), and clinical practice as mandated by Board of Nursing and national certification body.
- Experience in relevant patient care setting or as regulations dictate
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Masters Prepared Advanced Practice Nurse
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience.
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Emotional intelligence, critical thinking and effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
- Valid Drivers license
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- Advanced Practice Nurse Cetification (w/ Masters Degree).
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred:1. CPR certification
