The Dental Surgical Assistant Level 1 position is responsible for the coordination of all aspects of test, procedures, and surgeries. Must be willing to travel within 30 minutes of your home, and float to various locations.
*We have three locations Hackensack, Ridgefield, and North Bergen. During Training period new Team members are in the Ridgefield location and once training is complete Team Member will be moved according to office need*
Dental or Surgical experience is highly preferred
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Sound knowledge of how to use surgical equipment, instruments, and materials.
- A good understanding of surgical techniques, chairside responsibilities, and health and safety protocols.
- An excellent understanding of dental records, charts, and documentation.
- Great organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to provide excellent patient care, even under stressful circumstances.
- Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude.
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Minimum of 1 or more years of experience in dental assisting
- Completion of a dental assisting program
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- BLS/CPR
Certification from the AHA Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
- Certified Dental Assistant.
- Dental Radiology License.
- DAANCE Certification.
