HMM is looking for a talented Account Receivable Credit Coordinator to join our team and help maintain the financial health and growth of our organization. In this key role, you'll be responsible for managing credit risk, assessing credit applications, and making informed credit decisions. You'll work closely with both internal teams and external clients to evaluate credit data, identify potential risks, and recommend improvements to strengthen our credit management processes. Key Responsibilities :

Review and verify customer credit documents and accounts for accuracy to ensure smooth transactions.

Collaborate with Sales reps according to our Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to manage credit-related tasks effectively.

Review customer credit requests promptly and run business credit reports to assess creditworthiness.

Conduct independent analysis and risk assessments for both new and existing customer relationships to make informed credit decisions.

Provide recommendations to Accounts Receivable, Accounting, and Sales Leadership regarding credit terms based on detailed report findings.

Assist in structuring the credit processing process, from initial review to final approval.

Assess the credit risk of our commercial portfolio by reviewing accounts on a quarterly, bi-annual, and annual basis, categorizing them by risk (Low, Medium, High).

Identify accounts showing signs of credit risk or deterioration and take timely action to minimize potential losses.

Assign risk grades to individual customer accounts to maintain an accurate risk profile.

Perform additional duties and projects as needed to support the team and ensure the success of our credit management efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

Education :

A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field is typically required. Equivalent work experience in credit management may also be considered.

Experience :

Proven experience in credit analysis , general accounts receivable , or similar roles that involve assessing and managing credit risk.

Familiarity with tools like Dun & Bradstreet for credit risk analysis and monitoring.

Familiarity with the credit approval process , credit reports , and risk categorization .

Essential Skills :

Ability to conduct independent analysis of customer credit accounts and financial data to evaluate risk and creditworthiness.

Comfort with interpreting complex data and making informed decisions based on analysis.

Experience with credit management software or ERP systems (such as SAP , Oracle , or similar tools) to track accounts and run credit reports.

Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with both internal teams (Sales, Accounts Receivable, Accounting) and external clients.

Ability to explain credit decisions clearly and collaborate with Sales reps to implement credit policies.

A keen attention to detail when reviewing credit documents and managing accounts to ensure accuracy.

Advanced Excel skills , including the ability to create complex reports, analyze large datasets, and manipulate data using formulas, pivot tables, and other tools.

Additional Details :

The pay range listed for this position is the anticipated starting salary or wage range, and the final offered rate will be based on individual merit and the relative compensation of employees in similar positions. HMM employee benefits include highly subsidized individual and family insurance coverage (medical, dental and vision), term life and disability insurance, 401(k) employer matching contributions, paid holidays, and up to 10 vacation days and six sick days in the first year.
