Join our dynamic team at HMM! We are looking for someone with strong pricing analysis skills in the transportation and logistics industry ready to make an impact. As a Bid and Pricing Analyst, you'll support key accounts with pricing and multi-trade bid coordination. You'll respond promptly to bids and rate requests, monitor contract performance, and assist the sales team with account management. Your dedication to excellent service and strong client relationships will be highly appreciated. Make your mark where your expertise truly matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates bids involving multiple trade lanes, including working with sales and customers to determine that bids meet internal qualifications.
• Quote rates for assigned key accounts from Transpacific Eastbound origins (Asia) to USA and Canada.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance for accounts as required.
• Develop pricing strategies and models that align with the company's goals and objectives
• Analyze market trends and monitor competitor pricing
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing models that meet customer needs
• Ensure rate requests are successful by monitoring booking performance.
• Maintain contracts to ensure full regulatory compliance with FMC requirements and company standards.
• Familiarize and execute company and customer contracting requirements when bidding.
• Maintain basic KPIs for contract performance as guided by management.
  
  

Education

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, supply chain management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  
  

Experience

• 2 years of experience in pricing or analytical role in the transportation and logistics industry (ocean carriers, global logistics, or international trade (3PL) preferred.
• 3 years of experience in a sales support or operations coordination role, preferably in the maritime transportation or logistics industry.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Additional Details

The pay range listed for this position is the anticipated starting salary or wage range, and the final offered rate will be based on individual merit and the relative compensation of employees in similar positions.
