Job Description:
Drywall Installation and Finishing:

• Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets to walls and ceilings.
• Install drywall to the highest standards, ensuring smooth, seamless surfaces.
• Finish drywall by taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing to prepare for painting or wallpapering.

Carpentry:

• Perform framing, installation of doors, windows, and cabinetry.
• Construct and repair fixtures like shelving or partitions.
• Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to understand the layout of the project.
• Associated Trades:
• Assist with basic plumbing and electrical tasks as required by the project scope.
• Work with materials like wood, metal, and composite materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Follow project specifications, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and team members.
• Ensure that all work is completed to meet or exceed industry standards.
• Use and maintain tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Attend all required safety meetings and adhere to company safety protocols.
• Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing.
• Solid background in carpentry, particularly in commercial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents like blueprints.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various conditions.
• Knowledge of construction best practices and safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship in related fields preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
