Primary Function of the Position
The Navigation Access Office Specialist Intern is responsible for providing general information about MNSure, SNAP, COVID, rental assistance and other HAP programs information to community members. They will schedule MNSure and SNAP appointments; pre-screen clients for MNSure, SNAP and the rental assistance program; manage the COVID hotline; maintain HAP’s Hmong Village office; and other duties as assigned.
The candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, accountability, and high performance in previous work experience. Position Responsibilities
- Scheduling clients for MNSure and SNAP appointments via phone and in-person
- Providing clients with general MNSure, SNAP and rental assistance information, as well as other HAP programs as requested
- Responding and following up on emails and voicemails
- Pre-screen MNSure, SNAP and rental assistance participants
- Greet clients
- Provide resources to clients as needed
- Data entry
- Assist in the maintenance of the office
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Customer service
- Scheduling experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with technology such as landline phones and computer
- Data entry
- Organizational skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Working with diverse communities
- Bilingual in Hmong and/or Karen and English a plus
