PROJECT ARCHITECT
Description
HMR Architects is a mid-sized architectural firm with a focus on cultural institutions, higher education, historic preservation and high-end residential. Based in Princeton, most of our work is in New Jersey, but we also work in Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware.
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Architect prepared to step into a team leadership role. The candidate must have strong design skills, the ability to prepare complete construction documents, and an excellent working knowledge of construction administration. Sensitivity to design context, interest in sustainable design and historic preservation, and excellent communication skills are desired.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate throughout the preparation of construction documents.
- Regular collaboration with Partners and Project Managers on project issues.
- Manage the work of the firm’s consultants and architectural staff.
- Research product information and write specifications.
- Participate in and coordinate construction phase services.
Qualifications
- BArch or MArch degree from a US College/University.
- 5-7 years working in a US-based practice.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Licensed Architect or the ability and desire to become licensed.
- Strong technical expertise related to design and construction.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
