The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Senior Logistics Manager.
The Logistics Coordinator’s main responsibilities are to ensure accurate inventory management, optimize stock placements, and act as a key user for the ERP´s WMS module. This role involves analyzing logistics data, identifying improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, maintaining inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, and troubleshooting system-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics data from ERP and other systems to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues related to inventory levels, stock movement, and order fulfillment
- Generate reports on inventory performance, including stock turnover, lead time, safety stock, and back-order rates
Inventory Optimization:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, performing regular cycle counts of inventory to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Identify process changes needed to reduce inventory costs and maintain inventory accuracy
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory, proposing strategies to identify slow-moving items, and recommend adjustments to stock levels
- Analyze and optimize stock placements to ensure efficient space utilization and improve picking efficiency
System Expertise:
- Act as subject matter expert for the ERP, including configuration, data integrity, and user training
- Gain deep knowledge about system functionalities and keep up to date on upcoming releases of new functionalities
- Maintain process documentation
- Identify areas for system improvement and propose enhancements to optimize inventory management processes
- Troubleshoot system issues and resolve data discrepancies related to inventory tracking
- Identify and suggest new or enhanced functionalities to improve logistics processes
- Test and validate that new releases and updates are working correctly
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, sales, and operations to align inventory strategies with overall business goals
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to address inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate stock counts
