Position Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Hardware (Electrical) Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team and help lead the charge in creating the next generation of cutting-edge industrial automation products. The Hardware (Electrical) Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the design, development, validation, documentation, productization, and sustainment of industrial embedded systems within legacy Red Lion’s product segments. These include Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, protocol translators, network devices, and Input / Output (I / O) controllers. The role will be expected to be a key design contributor to our next generation of industrial automation products helping companies access their data through a variety of platforms to improve efficiency, reduce waste and boost productivity.
Essential Job Functions
- Involved with the hardware design of embedded industrial systems and provide sustainment support for product sustenance throughout the product lifecycle
- Participation in the design, layout and testing of PCBs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability and manufacturability
- Support material lifecycle management, change management, and component qualifications
- Works in collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams to understand the needs of the customer to produce high quality deliverables that meet or exceed expectations
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to transition designs from prototype to production
- Closely collaborate with software engineering, firmware, QA and product management
- Participate in technical reviews and assist other engineers to mitigate various design issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team member to solve problems and complete tasks creatively and cooperatively.
