What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consultant, Financial Planning & Analysis position at HMSA?
- Analyzes enterprise-wide financial performance against the annual operating plan and facilitates action planning and decision-making processes. Orchestrates budget management strategies across the organization to optimize resource allocation. Requires in depth expertise in financial management with ability to work independently.
- Facilitates the development of sophisticated financial reporting frameworks that integrate multiple business segments. Designs complex financial models that support long-term forecasting and scenario planning and creates crucial presentations and reports that facilitate strategic business decisions. Must be able to communicate effectively with other department staff and management.
- Assess and transform reporting systems and processes to advance organizational capabilities. Collaborate with financial leadership to architect and implement financial structures, methodologies and tools to improve visibility to business trends and P&L financial drivers related to the division.
- Work with accounting, actuarial, and other consultants to provide support for reporting and/or developing solutions to existing processes. Must be able to identify, research and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner. Develop both short-term and long-term solutions with analyzing root cause to issues.
- Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
