What are the responsibilities and job description for the API 510/653 Inspector (Nested) position at HMT Tank?
Nested API 510/653 Inspector need to work at Smurfit WestRock Paper Mill at Evadale, TX. Pay is $49.00 to $55.00/hr.
- Perform API 510/653 internal/external inspections per customer’s scope of work
- Maintain a positive relationship between client, facility and customer
- Properly interpret ITP’s, equipment drawings, client specifications, codes and industry standards
- Ensure that all site and HMT safety policies and procedures are being followed
- Working at client site in Evadale, TX
Required Qualifications:
- Must have current API 510/653 Certification
- Must be technically competent and knowledgeable in damage mechanisms
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be competent and thorough in report writing and recommendations
- Must have good computer skills
- Must be familiar current API codes
- Must be knowledgeable in NDE processes required for inspections and repair
- Must be able to pass DISA background and Drug Screen (hair follicle)
- Must be able to pass a FIT test and perform inspections under supplied air
Preferred additional certifications:
- API 580 or experience doing risk-based inspections
- Minimum 1 year Experience doing risk-based inspections
- UT or UTT NDT experience
