What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Electrical Substation Engineer - 2006 position at HMV Engineers?
Duties:
- Responsible for the design, construction, of high voltage electrical substations; provide technical expertise to a team of engineers and technicians, and ensure that all aspects of electrical and physical design of the substation meet industry standards and regulations such as IEEE and NERC.
- Perform calculations and simulations to determine electrical and mechanical performance of substations and related equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to personnel and customers.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and construction, to ensure all necessary materials and equipment are ordered and installed.
- Maintain accurate records of physical and electrical substation design, testing, and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in job or in related utility substation design.
- Experience must include knowledge of electrical and physical design of high voltage electrical substations and 15kV through 500kV substation design as well as IEEE/ANSI standards.
