What We Need
We are looking for a Product Manager 2 to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.
The Product Manager 2 is responsible for driving the success of highly strategic product category/categories by setting individual strategies and prioritization that aligns with business goals.
What You Will Do
- Oversee multiple product categories in accordance with the 3-year product roadmap. Set individual and team strategy and prioritization to align with business goals.
- Provide in depth Voice of Customer, market research and analysis to anticipate future portfolio trends and drive opportunities.
- Facilitate collaboration with cross functional teams to align decisions, communication, and execution of product related initiatives.
- Create vision and prioritize strategies for product categories during product development, ensuring product meets customer requirements and is delivered on time and within budget.
- Drive organization wide initiatives, special projects, and execute milestones and deliverables for each stage of the new product development process.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Plan and execute successful product launches by collaborating with marketing and merchandising teams to create compelling product storytelling and go to market strategy.
- Monitor & analyze product sales, profit performance and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product category improvement including cost savings and quality improvement.
- Develop end-of-life product strategies including discontinuation and phase-out processes.
- Provide sales, trade and internal teams with necessary information, training, and product knowledge to support sales and profit growth.
- Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership and review work of assigned members. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend merit increases, promotions, transfers, corrective actions, and other personnel actions. Interview and recommend candidates for employment. Drive member engagement.
- Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience is required; 6 years of experience preferred.
