What We Need

We are looking for a Proposal Coordinator to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.

The Proposal Coordinator will lead and support proposal processes, including collaboration on proposal response efforts and managing all phases of the proposal process for various business segments. This role will coordinate internal and external cross-functional teams to prepare and deliver timely, accurate, branded, and compelling proposals.

What You Will Do

• Create and edit proposal responses meeting scheduled deadlines following the proposal standard processes.
• Understand and apply the principles, concepts, and practices of professional proposal development including review of proposal requests and intent to ensure comprehension of tasks needed and contractual/legal obligations.
• Gather, develop, and organize content and illustrate into written communication that is branded, succinct, understandable, engaging, and compelling; and offers a clear competitive position on proposal responses.
• Lead discussions on sales strategy with design and sales team to ensure alignment on design and proposal responses.
• Handle multiple priorities, work within tight deadlines, and assist the team with other proposal development activities: which may include printing and uploading responses, working with Word, PowerPoint or InDesign templates, proofing and editing documents, and assisting with content development.
• Manage aggressive deadlines, develop response task lists, and provide status updates to keep the project/response on track.
• Conduct post award calls with sales organization to gain insight to future proposal best practices, sharing feedback with manager & team members to influence future response strategy and build best practices.
• Partner with Marketing department to integrate brand compliant and creative content into responses.
• Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
  
  

What You Have

• Associate’s degree in Project Management, Business, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience required; 2 years of experience preferred.
