Position at HNI Corporation HNI Corporation, an industry leader in office furniture design and manufacturing is in search of an IT Infrastructure Architect to join our team! The Infrastructure Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization. This position requires expertise in network architecture , data center compute and storage , cloud architecture , and foundational IT services. This role is an individual contributor who will provide informal leadership and guidance to members of the Enterprise Networking and Data Center Operations team. This is a hybrid role that will require weekly onsite presence at our locations in Muscatine, IA. Key Responsibilities Network Design
- Design and architect enterprise-level network infrastructures, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across data centers, branches, and remote sites.
- Evaluate and select network technologies, including LAN / WAN, wireless, firewalls, VPN, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Collaborate with network engineers to implement solutions for routing, switching, load balancing, and high availability.
- Design and manage network segmentation and micro-segmentation for secure environments.
- Optimize the network to support cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.
