This candidate will be working within the HNTB’s Major Programs Team in the Digital Solutions team. Comprised of project controls/collaboration platform specialists and developers, this team works with the most innovative project information systems in the transportation industry. The Major Programs Team establishes, develops and supports major civil engineering programs spanning the country.
This candidate will be working alongside team members in designing, developing, configuring, testing, implementing, and maintaining collaboration applications/systems serving as project systems of record and central sources of truth. The right candidate will be able to work on and prioritize multiple projects at one time, as well as have skills in multiple technical environments. Provides Help Desk support for multiple collaborative platforms such as SharePoint, Microsoft Power Suite, e-Builder, Aconex, Aurigo etc.
What You’ll Do:
Develops moderately complex new applications based on the project requirements document and an understanding of client needs.
May lead small projects of limited scope and complexity.
Designs user interfaces for web-based applications based on an understanding of data use and client need.
Provides user support and solves moderately complex technical problems with legacy applications or systems.
Meets with business and technology staff to understand and document system requirements.
Thoroughly documents and tests all work produced.
Develops programming specifications, logic flow charts and process diagrams.
Codes, tests, debugs and refines programs on multiple applications at a moderate difficulty level. May review work performed by junior staff.
Continually evaluates work processes and contributes to technology, methodology and process standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related degree
2 years related experience
In lieu of education, 6 years related experience

What We Prefer:
Experience working for consulting firm
Experience providing Help Desk support for software
Has worked in Microsoft's Power Suite such as Power Automate or Power Apps to create business functionality
Experience configuring cloud-based collaboration platforms such as e-Builder, Aconex, Aurigo etc.
Ability to configure and support automated workflows and processes in platforms such as Nintex, ServiceNow, e-Builder etc.
Ability to create reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or SSRS
Experience working for governmental agencies or related consultants in the transportation area such as highway, rail, aviation etc.
Awareness of modern data loss prevention and security practices
Ready to use creative thinking to solve complex technical and user issues
