Emergency Medical Technician

Job Summary
Responsible for the overall EMS coverage of the property through immediate response and appropriately assess and adequately provide Emergency Medical services and care to patrons and employees. Provide CPR, First Aid and blood-borne pathogen training.

Duties

1. Appropriately assess and adequately provide Emergency Medical Services and care to patrons and employees under the protocols established by, and the license of the Ho-Chunk Nation (HCN) EMS Medical Director.

2. Uphold and maintain a high standard of patient care.

3. Transfer care of patients to the responding ambulance service when applicable.

4. Must maintain complete patient confidentiality.

5. Must complete and uphold all required training and certifications.

6. Must attend nine (9) of the monthly trainings.

7. Must comply and follow all departmental Standard Operating Procedures, EMS protocols, Casino rules, regulations, and directives without deviation.

8. Obtain and thoroughly record information related to patient's condition and circumstances of emergency.

9. Investigate and document accidents/injuries that occur on the Ho-Chunk Gaming-Wisconsin Dells property.

10. Provide CPR/Public Access Defibrillator/First Aid training to employees within the Ho-Chunk Nation when required.

11. Conduct inventory and inspections of equipment.

12. Report any departmental deficiencies where applicable to supervisor.

13. Follow and promote all safety rules and regulations.

14. Promote professional and positive public relations and employee relations.

15. May be exposed to adverse weather conditions.

16. Assist in security duties and responsibilities during down times.

17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

· Must have good oral, written and presentation skills.

· Must have the ability to make wise and rational judgments and remain emotionally stable in stressful situations.

· Possess good investigational skills.

· Possess good organizational skills.

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts.

· Ability to take direction and complete all tasks and duties.

· Must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

· Must have State of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician License and current CPR certification.

· Must be bondable.

· Must be able to write, read, speak and understand English.

· Must be of sound mind and good moral character.

Pay: From $18.06 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
