Job Description
Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Supervisor
Business Title: Dynamic Systems
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grounds Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of grounds maintenance personnel and ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the outdoor areas at multiple commercial and government properties on Eielson AFB.
Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of grounds maintenance and office personnel and assign tasks as needed.
This individual will report to the company program manager with daily/weekly communication on team progress.
Plan and coordinate the maintenance of lawns, gardens, and other outdoor areas at multiple properties in the region.
Ensure that all equipment and tools are in good working order and properly maintained.
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for the grounds maintenance team.
Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the grounds maintenance team and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner and meet quality standards.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and order new materials as needed.
Communicate with property owners and managers to address any concerns or complaints related to grounds maintenance.
Develop and implement budgets for grounds maintenance activities and ensure that expenses are kept within budget.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field (preferred but not required).
2 years of experience in grounds maintenance and 2 years of experience supervising a team.
Knowledge of landscaping techniques, equipment, and tools.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A valid driver's license.
. Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, etc.).
