SUMMARY
The Lead Case Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing Non-Clinical Case Management Services for the Wyoming Army National Guard (WYARNG). This role ensures the accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance of medical readiness requirements, including Medical Readiness Classification (MRC), Physical Health Assessments (PHAs), and Soldier Treatment Records (STRs). The Lead Case Manager serves as the primary point of contact for escalated medical readiness issues and provides leadership in administrative case management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage case management operations, ensuring compliance with DoD and WYARNG medical readiness objectives.
- Provide technical guidance to team members and oversee data entry and record maintenance.
- Ensure accurate tracking of MRC3/MRC4 statuses and coordinate PHA scheduling.
- Liaise with military leadership, medical providers, and WYARNG personnel for case resolution.
- Conduct audits and compliance reviews to uphold HIPAA and cybersecurity standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for case escalations and non-compliance resolution.
- Supervise and mentor Case Managers and Data Entry Specialists.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong proficiency in DoD medical tracking systems (e.g., MEDPROS, MODS, MEDCHART, and PRT).
- Extensive experience in military medical readiness tracking and case management.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive medical information with discretion and compliance with HIPAA and DoD cybersecurity standards.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in military medical administration, case management, or similar roles.
- Prior experience with National Guard or active-duty medical case management preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Supervises Case Managers and Data Entry Specialists as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primary work location: Raper Armory, Cheyenne, WY.
- Hybrid work environment: Limited telework may be approved.
- This position requires working one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday) to support WYARNG drill events.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Extended computer-based data entry and reporting required.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Full-time, 40 hours per week, including one weekend per month for drill support.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Regular commute to primary work location is not considered travel.
Contract employees may be required to travel to execute any missions to support or augment the WYARNG consistent with all services described. Specifically, in the event of a mobilization or PHA event, the contractor shall ensure adequate case management service and support is available for travel to locations to best support these activities

- Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility required.
- Favorable background check per Army Directive 2014-05.
