Summary
The primary role is to assure that all house models meet code requirements for their specific department. The Crew Chief is also responsible for leading and training employees in their department.
Essential Functions

- Prep houses for paint
- Paint interior of residential and commercial projects
- Identifies and gathers tools and materials needed using specifications of the work order
- Reads blueprints and other specifications to determine method of installation
- Checks all materials used in construction for conformity with specified grades or specifications and assures that all materials are used or installed in the proper manner.
- Inspects and documents all required records to quality control standards concerning work activities and submits to appropriate individuals.
- Acquires and maintains a good working knowledge of all applicable building codes to facilitate the timely and efficient performance of inspection work activities.
- Leads and trains department production team
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.
- Maintains and enforces good housekeeping practices which facilitate efficient operation as well as employee safety and morale.
- Identifies and gathers materials needed using the purchase order and blueprints
- Completes prep work and installs insulation within a controlled environment
- Ensures compliance with appropriate state codes
- Maintains inventory, tools and supplies
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area
- Works in a safe manner and follows all safety policies including wearing appropriate PPE
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with overtime as needed.
Travel
Travel is primarily not expected in this role.
Experience
- 2 years of painting and supervisory experience
- Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams, blueprints, floor plans and work orders for projects
- Ability to use both manual and power tools
- Ability to perform physical work overhead for extended periods of time
- Ability to use mathematics and measuring devices to calculate length, width, height, depth, etc.
- Ability to follow written and spoken instruction
- Ability to lift to 80 pounds comfortably and consistently
Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
