Job Summary:
The Instructor Trainer will be responsible for the development, delivery, and maintenance of technical and systems training for internal and external users of the Grants Management System (GMS), built on the Salesforce platform. This role involves designing curriculum, creating multimedia training assets, delivering instructor-led and virtual training, and working collaboratively with IT and administrative teams to ensure users are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
Core Responsibilities
The Instructor Trainer will be responsible for the development, delivery, and maintenance of technical and systems training for internal and external users of the Grants Management System (GMS), built on the Salesforce platform. This role involves designing curriculum, creating multimedia training assets, delivering instructor-led and virtual training, and working collaboratively with IT and administrative teams to ensure users are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and deliver technical training programs, including instructor-led sessions, eLearning, webinars, job aids, and training videos.
- Lead the development of training materials for COTS and custom IT-driven applications, including Salesforce-based systems.
- Prepare instructor materials such as course outlines, background materials, instructional content, and training aids.
- Conduct both on-site and web-based training for diverse user groups, including end users, external partners, and administrators.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools to deliver accessible, engaging training content.
- Analyze training needs, evaluate business processes, and develop training plans to address identified gaps.
- Maintain, update, and revise training content based on system changes, user feedback, and new functionality.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other trainers to ensure consistency and accuracy in course content.
- Perform user needs analysis, audience segmentation, and outcome measurement to ensure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Support EIR accessibility and adapt training content to be inclusive of users with disabilities.
- Research training methods, vendors, and technology solutions to recommend new and cost-effective instructional strategies.
- Develop simulations, exercises, and real-world scenarios to support role- and task-based learning.
- Document and maintain records of training activities, evaluations, and feedback for audit and reporting purposes.
- Provide in-person and virtual training support for onboarding, updates, and recurring sessions as required.
- Hybrid Work Model: 2 days (Mondays and Fridays) remote, and 3 days (Tuesdays-Thursdays) on-site
- Local Candidates Only: Must reside in Austin, TX, or surrounding areas.
