We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our Administrative Applications Production Data Services team. This role is responsible for the ongoing support, performance tuning, and optimization of critical Oracle database systems that underpin complex enterprise applications and workflows. The ideal candidate will be a skilled Oracle professional with a deep understanding of data modeling, database architecture, and performance management in enterprise environments.
This position requires close collaboration with the Data Warehouse team and other cross-functional units to ensure database integrity, efficiency, and accessibility. The successful candidate will also participate in on-call rotations, provide production support, and be instrumental in designing and maintaining logical and physical data models.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize Oracle databases, including logical and physical modeling, stored procedures, and functions.
- Enter and maintain production databases, including creating test environments, libraries, and necessary procedures.
- Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and locking issues.
- Perform database tuning and optimization pre- and post-migration.
- Generate database statistics across Production, UAT, and Development environments.
- Review and refine database code, direct programmers on changes, and ensure best practices in performance tuning and query optimization.
- Evaluate user requests for new systems or data elements and incorporate them into shared data environments.
- Ensure uniformity and proper use of data definitions and maintain the data dictionary.
- Execute database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure databases and user interfaces comply with EIR Accessibility standards and support assistive technologies.
- Assist in benchmarking, threshold testing, and implementation of database security controls.
- Support Jira-based tracking and reporting (if applicable).
- Provide on-call support and participate in continuous improvement of production support processes.
- Document and communicate impacts of database changes and participate in cost estimation and planning for modifications.
