Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts for Electronic Health Record (EHR) application development and support. This role is responsible for managing a cross-functional testing team, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and serving as a key liaison between stakeholders, project managers, and IT teams. The QA Manager will take ownership of all QA activities, including test strategy, planning, execution, defect tracking, and test automation, with a focus on healthcare systems.
The QA Manager will be responsible for overseeing both manual and automated testing, aligning test efforts with business requirements, ensuring traceability, and providing clear and consistent reporting on testing progress and quality metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the QA team to ensure high-quality delivery of EHR systems through comprehensive testing strategies.
- Design, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for SaaS-based applications.
- Oversee the development and execution of test cases that align with UAT and business requirements; conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders for clarity.
- Monitor and report test case execution status, defect metrics, and testing progress using tools like ALM and Jira.
- Ensure coverage of various testing types, including unit, integration, regression, smoke, UAT, system, stress, and performance.
- Manage automation frameworks and scripts using tools such as UFT, Selenium, Katalon, and ALM.
- Write and validate complex SQL queries for backend data validation and ETL testing.
- Test workflows across EHR modules including practice management, clinical, billing, and interfaces.
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices, compliance standards, and data privacy protocols such as HIPAA.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to assess requirements, define testing scope, identify risks, and ensure a smooth rollout.
- Mentor QA team members in test strategy, EHR testing methodologies, and workflow validation.
- Provide technical guidance in API testing, automation, performance testing, and database testing.
- Develop metrics to evaluate and communicate software quality and application readiness.
- Ensure effective communication across clinical teams, developers, and analysts to support rapid issue resolution.
- Respond to inquiries regarding software defects and facilitate root cause analysis and resolution.
