CLINICAL NURSE I - ONCOLOGY AND LUNG SPECIALTY
Department: Nursing Status: Full Time Shift: 1st Remote or Onsite: Onsite Location:Irvine, CA, US, 92602
Salary Range: $47.8400 - $74.1700 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
The Clinical Nurse Oncology Clinic role provides direct patient care by the Nurse Practice Act to assigned patients within our Medical Oncology Clinics.
- The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely, and appropriate quality patient care.
- This includes providing physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administration, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the patients assigned.
- Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs.
- Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed, and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Clinical Nurse I’s at Magnet-designated facilities only require a BSNorthat a BSN program is started within one year of the hire date and a BSN degree is attained within two years of the starting of the BSN program.
- BSN preferred.
- Medical Oncology Registered Nurse experience is highly desired.
License Required
- Registered Nurse in the State of California - Current and in good standing.
Certifications Required
- All Clinical nurses are required to have current BLS certification before clinical rotation
