HOSPICE EDUCATOR (RN) - FCS HOSPICE
Department: Nursing Status: Full Time Shift: 1st Remote or Onsite: Onsite Location:Newport Beach, CA, US, 92617
Salary Range: $52.6100 - $80.8600 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Hospice Educator (RN) serves as the educational resource for assigned service line. Assesses the educational needs of assigned area and provides in servicing, classes, on-line modules and other educations materials to achieve educational goals. Ensures that sound theoretical and technical criteria are established and incorporates evidence-based practices. Participates in meeting or exceeding goals for quality indicators. Oversees orientation for newly hired employees and annual skills review. Maintains competencies for assigned clinical staff. Serves as a mentor to frontline staff in innovation and research projects. Based on service line, coordinates and participates in re-certification programs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- BSN, or ADN plus 10 years’ hospice experience required. Must obtain BSN within two years of hire.
- Minimum of four (4) years clinical experience in specialty required.
- Experience with Power Point and presentation technology required.
- MSN preferred.
License Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in the state of California required.
Certifications Required
- BLS.
- Specialty Certification preferred.
