Job Description

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC designs and manufactures commercial food equipment for food service and retail customers through its subsidiaries. The company’s products include ware washing equipment; cooking equipment, including ovens, ranges, and broilers; refrigeration equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, and prep tables; food processing equipment, including slicers, mixers, and scales; and kitchen exhaust, ventilation, and pollution control systems. ITW FEG has the largest service network in this industry to support our global customers, with highly specialized technicians and best-in-class supply chain procedures. The company was incorporated in 2001 and is based in Troy, Ohio. ITW Food Equipment Group LLC is an Illinois Tool Works Inc. subsidiary.

Summary

The Business Development Director is responsible for driving revenue growth in a service-based business by identifying and capitalizing on strategically identified new and existing market segments. Develops annual business plans, conducts market research, and creates strategies to target key customers, increase market share, and tailor service offerings to meet client needs. Collaborates with account managers to align solutions with market demands, prioritizes opportunities, and monitors performance to ensure alignment with company objectives, while maintaining critical client relationships and supporting the acquisition of new business.

The Major Responsibilities Of This Role Include

  • STRATEGIC MINDSET: Develops and implements sales strategies that drive revenue growth and align with business objectives. Analyzes market trends and sales data to identify new opportunities, optimizes product lifecycle management, and provides forecasting, budgeting, and reporting insights to senior leadership.
  • DEVELOPS TALENT: Mentors and manages sales teams, ensuring clear performance expectations and offering coaching for success. Designs training programs to enhance skills, fosters a high-performance culture, and ensures collaboration across teams to achieve shared goals.
  • COMMUNICATES EFFECTIVELY: Uses strong communication and negotiation skills to influence key stakeholders, build relationships with clients and partners, and align internal teams on sales strategies. Fosters collaboration between marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure seamless execution.
  • DELIVERS RESULTS: Drives business growth by setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet and exceed revenue targets. Continuously assesses performance and refines strategies to ensure teams deliver on objectives and achieve business goals.
  • COLLABORATES: Works effectively with cross-functional teams, aligning efforts to execute sales strategies and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Develops and maintains strong internal and external partnerships to drive growth and optimize sales processes.
  • SITUATION ADAPTABILITY: Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment, adjusting strategies to respond to market conditions, customer needs, and business priorities. Maintains focus on long-term objectives and demonstrates resilience in overcoming challenges.
  • SAFETY: Ensures all sales operations comply with company safety standards and industry regulations. Maintains a culture of safety within the team, ensuring that proper protocols are followed, especially during field activities. Prioritizing safety helps safeguard both employees and clients while minimizing risk.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and Work Experience

  • BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field with at least 8 years of progressive business development/sales experience
