We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our team at Hobbie & DeCarlo, P.C. in Eatontown, NJ.
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have 4 years of experience working in a plaintiff litigation law firm and possess strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing filing, and service of pleadings, motions, discovery, and subpoenas. Additionally, you will conduct legal research and writing assignments, which may include the preparation of medical chronologies and deposition summaries of fact and expert witnesses.
Requirements:
- 4 years experience working in a plaintiff litigation law firm
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, focused, technologically savvy, adaptable to learning new systems and processes, and able to prioritize and multitask
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, clients, and claims staff
- Flexibility in work hours is a must
- Knowledge, abilities, and skills: general knowledge of law office operations, practices, and procedures (including electronic filing)
- Exercise independent initiative and judgment in daily tasks, within a team-oriented atmosphere
