This Host/Hostess opportunity is at our restaurant, One Bistro, located at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, MA. One Bistro is a critically acclaimed, upscale casual dining restaurant. Our restaurant's success is driven by delicious, affordable, unpretentious food made from high-quality, seasonal ingredients served in an atmosphere featuring beautifully lit, contemporary décor and open-kitchen energy.
Shifts Needed to Fill:
We are seeking individuals to work variable shifts between 10:30 AM to 5 PM or 4 PM to 11 PM, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Determine their dining/lodging needs and seat them accordingly
- Monitor restaurant activity to optimize seating and dining flow
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Perform opening and closing duties, as needed
- Manage reservations and guest information database using Open Table
- Take and package to-go orders
- Assist with side work, including cleaning, stocking, and other tasks as needed
- Support fellow team members and other departments to maintain positive working relationships
- Clean and maintain all menus
- Write daily specials
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
- 1 year of restaurant experience preferred, but not necessary
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods
