About the Role:
The General Manager will oversee and direct all property management activities within a defined commercial real estate portfolio. This includes budget management, tenant relations, and strategic planning to ensure tenant satisfaction and operational excellence.
The General Manager will collaborate with asset management and construction teams to facilitate building maintenance, repairs, and upgrades while managing vendor contracts and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Actively managing assets to maximize short-term return-on-equity and increase long-term economic value
- Reporting on performance, budget variances, tenant arrears, tenant retention efforts, significant changes in the market, and property conditions
- Responsible for financial management of property to enhance property value
- Developing annual operating and capital budgets
- Financial reporting including monthly variance analysis and quarterly reforecasting
