Removal Technician
Hobbs Funeral Home is seeking a licensed Removal Technician join our highly skilled staff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to be a part of a privately owned and operated 3 generation Funeral Home & Cremation Service that has been dedicated to serving families since 1941.

What is Required:
- Responsible for transporting deceased individuals in a dignified and safe manner at time of death.
- Deaths can occur in Hospitals, nursing homes, residences, cars and the outdoors. Whatever the scenario is, we are responsible for taking the call at all hours.
- Safely drives company vehicles to perform “first call” removals of deceased in accordance with local and state laws as well as company policies and procedures.
- Follow processes for chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification.
- Cooperate with first responders, Coroner, hospital staff, or Senior Living facility and accommodate their processes and procedures.
- For home removals, courteously and professionally interacts with bereaved family members; exhibits sensitivity to environment; minimizes conversation.
- Follows company procedures in removing soiled garments, bedding, or other materials; leaves a warm and courteous first impression.
- Must be able to lift 75 -100 pounds.
- Licensing is attainable through the Funeral Home - Must be able to pass State of Maine background check.
- All situations and interaction are to be considered confidential.
- Must be within half hour of funeral home at all time.
- Business Professional attire – Suit and Tie are required.
Compensation:
- Weekly pay of $100 and $95.00 paid out each time technician is dispatched
- This under the condition you are available for the entire 7-day period
Schedule:
- Part time -25 weeks a year
- Wednesday-Wednesday (4:00 P.M.-8:00 A.M)
- Schedule is one week on call one week off call
