What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor position at Hobby Horse House?
Hobby Horse House is seeking a full time Counselor for children, adolescents, and adults in Jersey County and the surrounding areas to meet this growing service need. Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, education, vocational counseling, family therapy or another related human service field with preferably two years of experience. Responsibilities include providing trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, families, or groups. Duties include completing assessments, developing treatment plans, written progress reports, session notes, and an evaluation of service needs.
Candidates should be willing to work flexible hours; you design your own schedule. Candidates must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, automobile insurance, and ability to pass a criminal history check. This is a professional agency with a focus on children and families; this includes support and focus for your own family and well-being.
Candidates must be motivated, self-starting, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational ability. Pay is based upon education and experience.
