Job Description - Overview

Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a national, privately-held, stable, and growing retailer headquartered in Oklahoma City is seeking a qualified Employment Law Attorney with 3 to 8 years of experience.

The employment law attorney position is an in-person position in Oklahoma City, and provides legal representation and counsel to Hobby Lobby management, business personnel, and affiliate companies in in all areas of employment and labor law, including Title VII, ADA, PWFA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and NLRB, and similar states laws. The employment law attorney position will not require any litigation, but litigation experience is a plus.

Job Description - Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Superior analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, legal writing, and negotiation skills;
• The ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, business personnel, opposing counsel, and regulators;
• A positive attitude, initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently;
• Good legal research skills; and
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Lexis .
