Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting activities. This role requires a strong understanding of technical accounting principles and proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Manage payroll, accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments, collections and remittance of applicable federal and state taxes.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheets, income statements and other reports requested by management.
- Conduct account analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial statements.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in public or corporate accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounts payable, bank reconciliation, account analysis, debits and credits, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop accounting software is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and firm clients.
