Key Responsibilities :
- Data Platform Enhancement :
Lead the enhancement of our data platform, integrating with over 20 B2B data sources.
Design and implement data integration and cleaning processes, ensuring high data quality and availability for customer-facing applications.Innovate and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to drive actionable insights.Engineering Team Building and Leadership :Develop and execute a hiring strategy to scale the engineering team, with a goal to hire over 30 engineers by the end of the year, primarily based in San Francisco.
Create and implement an effective onboarding process for new hires, ensuring rapid integration and productivity.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.Integration Development :Oversee the development and maintenance of both new and existing data integrations, ensuring seamless data exchange between diverse systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify integration needs and deliver robust solutions that align with business requirements.Database Management and Optimization :Lead the management and optimization of Clickhouse databases, currently containing over 8TB of data, with a focus on performance tuning, scaling, and efficient handling of high volumes of writes and mutations.
Implement best practices for indexing, query optimization, and database scaling to significantly enhance system performance and reliability.Scalability and Performance :Proactively address scalability challenges by identifying performance bottlenecks, proposing, and implementing optimization solutions.
Continuously monitor performance metrics and drive initiatives to ensure infrastructure reliability and readiness for increasing loads.Strategic Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration :Provide strategic leadership to the engineering team, aligning engineering efforts with broader business goals.
Work closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to drive cross-functional project success and ensure alignment on company objectives.Establish clear communication channels and processes to facilitate collaboration and project execution.Process Improvement and Alignment :Develop and implement process improvements to streamline engineering workflows and enhance overall team efficiency.
Ensure alignment of engineering processes with company objectives, maintaining a balance between rapid delivery and quality.Qualifications :
Proven experience in engineering leadership roles, with a strong background in databasemanagement and optimizing large-scale systems.Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing engineering teams, particularly inhigh-growth startup environments.Expertise in managing complex projects, with the ability to solve intricate problems and makedata-driven decisions.Excellent communication and project management skills, with a track record of aligningengineering efforts with business strategies.Additional Considerations :
