Salary: $40,000.00-45,000.00
Position Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Student Affairs this position is responsible for leading a quality Housing experience for all students living in College housing environments that ensure health and safety measures that fosters academic success.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise the Housing office and Community Assistants..
Provide leadership and daily management of all campus housing including regular semester and special events using campus housing facilities.
Provide leadership for Community Assistants in implementing residential education programming in conjunction with Student Activities, Residence Hall Associations and other health and safety events.
Develop and maintain frequent communication and collaboration with facilities to ensure residence halls are managed in a clean and orderly fashion.
Provide leadership and hands-on-management of emergency situations that may impact campus housing.
Plan and manage Residential Welcome sessions during New Student Orientation for new and returning students each semester.
Plan and manage all aspects of student housing including move-in and move-out, eligibility for housing, and make recommendations as appropriate.
Manage website and social media in collaboration with Marketing for areas related to this position.
Work with the Housing Custodial supervisor to maintain facilities.
Assess effectiveness of campus housing and as it relates to student satisfaction, retention and completion.
III. Qualifications- Education, Experience And Skills
Bachelor degree required, Masters preferred and related work experience.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other departments and diverse populations.
Prior supervisory experience.
Budget management skills.
Ability to set priorities and manage emergency situations.
Must live in the district, Athens, Hocking, Perry Counties, within 30 minutes of the main campus preferred.
Available for weekend and evening work as needed.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate the utmost ethical and professional behavior as a role model to students.
