Are you passionate about inspiring and educating youth and teens to lead healthy, active lives? The Hockomock Area YMCA is seeking a Youth Wellness Coach to engage, support, and motivate our young members in their fitness journeys at the Bernon Family Branch in Franklin, MA.
Essential Functions :
- Work directly with youth and teens in fitness programs under the direction of the Wellness and Personal Training Director.
- Monitor the fitness area, ensuring safe and proper use of exercise equipment.
- Greet and engage members, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Educate and encourage youth and teens in leading healthy lifestyles.
- Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques and equipment usage.
- Promote personal training, fitness classes, and other wellness opportunities.
- Support member retention by building positive relationships and respecting individual goals.
- Uphold YMCA core values-honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.
- Adhere to YMCA policies, including safety procedures, incident reporting, and code of conduct.
- Contribute to YMCA Reach Out for Youth (ROFY) initiatives through member awareness, volunteer recruitment, and event participation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning Wellness Center.
- Arrive on time in appropriate staff attire and ensure shift coverage when needed.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.
