What You’ll Do:
- Lead Inspiring Classes : Plan and deliver dynamic, safe, and fun exercise sessions that leave participants feeling accomplished and energized.
- Engage with Members : Welcome participants, set up for classes, and ensure every session starts and ends on time with a personal touch.
- Ensure Safety : Monitor participants, provide modifications as needed, and uphold injury prevention policies for a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Be the Soundtrack of Fitness : Choose motivating music that enhances the class experience and keeps energy levels high.
- Maintain Cleanliness & Equipment : Ensure equipment is in top condition, clean up after classes, and address any equipment or facility concerns.
- Collaborate & Grow : Attend staff meetings and training sessions, and be open to feedback from members and supervisors to continually improve.
- Give Back : Support the YMCA’s mission by participating in initiatives like the Reach Out for Youth fundraising campaign.

- High School Diploma or G.E.D. (preferred)
- Group Exercise Certification (required)
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Proven expertise in the field of instruction
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to connect and work effectively with diverse groups and individuals
- Solid knowledge of fitness training methods and educational techniques
- Understanding of exercise principles and their application
